Poultry’s steady increase in efficiency and productivity is what makes it continue to lead the growth of meat production worldwide. However, in 2023, the main challenges for the poultry industry remain input costs, feed and energy prices, distribution, labor cost and availability, and avian influenza. Asia, in particular, will prove to be the leading long-term global market, accounting for 65 percent of global growth, which means continued investment opportunities.
It was already in 2022, as in previous years, Asia accounted for nearly 40 percent of global poultry production, according to the FAO. North America, with a 19 percent share, then remained a major contributor, followed by South America and Europe. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the production share of the world’s top five meat producers (China, the U.S., the EU, Brazil and Russia) is expected to decline gradually from its current level in the coming years, due to the EU’s declining production and the growing number of global producers. India is expected to take Russia’s place in the top five by 2031.
Turning the spotlight back to Asia, it can be said that it is definitely the area of the world that is growing the most, both in the poultry sector as well as in other sectors.

Which from April can be provided to all Asian customers so as to reduce the delivery time of the commodity and the cost of shipping and importing, thanks also to the ASEAN agreement, which allows many Asian states to import from Malaysia at zero duty and import charges or under a scheme of reduced import taxes and duties.
