Giordano Poultry Plast, which has always been involved in social welfare, is also taking part in a project in Zimbabwe promoted by the humanitarian organisation CESVI.

CESVI is working in the country on three “Agriculture 2.0” projects in the Beitbridge and Mwenzi districts, both labelled “area 5”, meaning areas unsuitable for farming. Twelve communities are involved, with at least 1,500 families and 17 schools that have already started planting a small plot of land with more advanced technologies.

Giordano Poultry Plast, together with other companies – including SKA Poultry Equipment – has also donated to this village some useful tools for poultry feeding, in order to promote independence for the local population. The poultry intervention has brought positive results in the community. The nutritional component has been complemented by the availability of protein through the supply of chicken meat.

The developing indigenous chicken project, which is being implemented through the introduction of incubators, will soon make eggs available.

The company chose to support this initiative of CESVI because this reality works all over the world to support the most vulnerable populations in the promotion of human rights, in achieving their aspirations, for sustainable development. According to Giordano Poultry Plast, the recognition of human rights contributes to the welfare of everyone on planet earth and this is why it is committed to bringing its know-how to the social field.
